All Crap Notebook II · The Making
11:29 AM
Yes, I am one of those people who likes to document my life. The planners and journals readily made at the stores are just not for me so I decided to make my own in the beginning of the year 2015. I am now working on my second All Crap Notebook. Yes, it is literally the black hole of my thoughts. It is a planner, a journal, a life hack cheat cheat, a budget notebook, and everything else I could possibly ever need.
I got my notebook from Michael's for $3+ and it's the perfect size for me. I also love that the cover is fabric kinda, however, the pages are thinner than I'd like. At the back of the cover I just have a couple of sticky notes for 'icon library' just so I don't forget since I changed it from my last ACN.
The very first page just has my name on it. I tend covered up the remaining spaces with scraps from a magazine page. One magazine page is more than enough to cover the whole page.
The next sections are: entertainment, fitness, and life hacks. The entertainment section was divided into three parts: shows, movies, and books. I watch a ton of shows so it's a must for me to list down which episode I'm on because I do share Netflix. I also like listing down the movies and books I've finished just because. In the fitness section I just have a weight chart just to remind myself not to end up with 'Freshman 15'. In the life hack section, I'll be gluing in a laundry symbols cheat.
As you can see, I put a washi tape on the bottom. As much as I love page flags, I don't use it as it's supposed to be used, instead, I use washi tape to easily flip to the right page. I used red for entertainment section, yellow for fitness, and blue for life hacks. I got the tapes from daiso and it came with 8 different colors. I love the glossy texture, it makes turning the page easier.
Like I said, I'll be sticking in a laundry symbols cheat but I haven't been able to print one yet so I left a sticky memo just so I won't forget. On the other page is basically just a filler kind of thing to start the planner part.
I put my schedule for the fall so I won't ever forget. Also, I put the room numbers and exact class hours on the bottom which I believe will be very helpful during the first couple of weeks.
I started this ACN with August because that's when I'll be having orientation, moving in, and first day of classes. I cut out the words from a magazine. I also purposely left spaces on the bottom and right hand side in case of needed notes.
After the calendar I basically did one page per week as a planner- you can see the last week on the left hand side. I am still experimenting with the planner layout which is why I didn't include it in, but if I end up making a post at the end of August you'll probably see it then.
Right after the planner I have 'one question a day' which is literally one question a day. It has a different question everyday and it's just random questions to basically track how much you've changed. The goal is to answer the exact question on the exact day for 5 years. I might end up posting the questions I used at the end of the year, because I, myself, still have no idea what the other questions will be.
After the questions, I made an 'expenses' page. It's just a way to track where my money goes. After this page will be my journal for the month of August. I might add more sections as time goes by, but for now, this is it.
You might now have noticed, but starting with the August calendar, I put a washi tape on the side margin. I'll be using different designs for each month. I got the washi tapes shown above from Michael's. It came in a pack and it accidentally matched my ACN's cover.

I posted this early in case you guys are planning on making your own planner for the upcoming school year and want inspiration. Hope this helps!
