ʚ Things I MUST Do In My Twenties ɞ

12:30 PM

If you guys follow my studyblr or studygram you've seen the new spread I worked on. They say that you should do all the things you've been wanting to do during your twenties but I also think that you should do things that will make your thirties easier.

  1. US Citizenship. I moved here in California back in 2010 and have been a green card holder since then. I have a few years left before it expires. Citizenship is so expensive which is why I still haven't applied for it. I'm thinking of applying for dual citizenship but I think it's even more expensive. We'll see.
  2. Renew passport. Or get a US passport, it all depends on whether I'll be nationalized then. I really want to travel after college.
  3. Donate blood regularly. I am still yet to donate blood for the first time. Red Cross comes on campus every semester but they always conflict with my schedule. My goal is to donate regularly. Can't wait to donate for the first time!
  4. Go on vacation in Philippines. I haven't gone back since I left on 2010 and although my life is here now and I don't really have anything to go back to aside a visit to relatives, I wanna see Philippines soon.
  5. Travel and explore South Korea.
  6. Travel and explore Japan.
  7. Visit at least ten states. I have visited four other states aside from California. I've been to Nevada, Utah, Oregon, and Washington. I want to go back to Washington soon as well as visit other states. I'm hoping that once my siblings are old enough, my family can go on a road trip across the states. Maine is on top of my list to visit because of lobsters and because it's my name. Like most, I want to visit New York and Hawaii.
  8. Have an investment portfolio. Once I have enough savings I want to have a very diverse portfolio. I learned about investing back when I took finance in high school. My boyfriend and I have also been talking about stocks quite often these days. It'd be a great source of second income.
  9. Buy a house and car. I know for sure I'll have a car after college. This goal is mostly about owning my own house. I want to be able to give the house to my parents.
  10. Have at least a third of my student loans paid off.
  11. Get my CPA license. My mom got pregnant with me while studying for her CPA license and never really got around to it working overtimes to keep us alive. I want to fulfill her dreams for her.
  12. Start my own business.  Once I'm settled with work and have bought a house I want to start my own business. I want to have a wedding related business, probably an all in one kind of thing with event planning to videography and photography to dresses to catering.

What are your goals for your twenties? What have you accomplished so far? What motivates you?
