Yellow Brick Road to KPop

I am not sure if this is just a phase but even if it isn't I am totally fine with it. 

I have always been outspoken about my love of KDramas and I even made a post about the ones I'm currently watching.  I mentioned how this summer has been all about them and it definitely made an impact. When asked before about my knowledge of KPop I'd say I only know about Nobody by Wonder Girls and Gangnam Style and Gentleman by PSY because they were a huge hit in Philippines. I'd also mention Fire by 2ne1 which I only listened to because of Dara (I am a fan of hers since her SCQ days).

Other than those songs I only know the ones I heard from various KDramas I've seen. With that said, here's my top 10 songs from KDramas:

Now we have come to part where I tell you how my journey to KPop began. ..

It all started after loving Kim Soo Hyun. After watching his drama, My Love From Another Star, I found out about Dream High. In that drama, IU and Wooyoung both did a short cover of Can't Let You Go Even If I Die and I totally fell in love with the song especially since it was kind of their characters' song for each other. I ended up googling the song and found out about 2AM and their song This Song is a favorite of mine.

After finishing the drama I started Dream High 2. I was a bit reluctant at first since I love the first one so much and was worried it wouldn't be any good but I was dead wrong. There was a scene where JB and So Ra fell asleep at a chapel. JB took one of So Ra's headphone and started singing. Yes, I totally loved that scene and yes, that's when I fell in love with the song When I Can't Sing. After obsessing over that cover I found out that JB was in Dream Knight so I ended up watching that after I finished Dream High 2.

Jackson immediately caught my eyes if I'm being honest. I of course had to google him and that's when I found out about GOT7. They're like One Direction to me back in 2012. I love their music, no doubt with that, but I love watching them more if that makes any sense. I actually went back and watched all of Real GOT7 since I found out about them somewhere in their season 3.

In between watching Dream High and Dream High 2 I started watching We Got Married. I watched the one with Taecyeon and then later on the one with Wooyoung. Right now I am watching the one with Sung Jae which is because I saw him in Who Are You? School 2015. There was an episode in We Got Married where Sung Jae covered Drunken Truth in the karaoke and I totally fell in love with his voice. He then made Joy listen to his group's comeback song and after hearing that I just had to look them up and that's how I found out about BTOB.

BTOB's music gives me life like I could literally listen to them forever. But don't misunderstood, don't ever make me choose between them and GOT7 'cause that's like asking me choose between my left side brain or my right side brain, my left hand or my right hand. I just can't do it. I won't do it.
