Once An Eagle, Always An Eagle

While graduating with Gabby Douglas, Zendaya Coleman, Olivia Holt, and Austin North was memorable and overwhelming, graduating means saying goodbye to all the people who made me feel at home since moving here in California back in 2010.

I really feel like before I get all sappy I should address the fact that I graduated with the said people above. I've always known that they were a part of the independent study program of my school district but didn't know they were graduating with us until I saw my friend's snapchat story with their graduating and baby pictures.

It was really overwhelming meeting Z, like she is my princess and she put her arms around me.. I died. I did not get to take a picture with Gabby because she sat on the other side of the field. Austin and Olivia was actually walking in front of me after graduation rehearsal but decided against chasing them. Funny thing was that Austin ended up sitting behind me on the bus to grad night and Olivia was sitting next to my best friend and I.

Yes, that is me walking by. They actually walked by me after they got their Diplomas and Z said good luck when I said Congratulations. We are obviously best friends now.

But enough of this fangirling. Now it's time to get all sappy...

If you follow me on Instagram you might have already seen my very sappy message while I was on my way to grad night, and while I do mean those things I said we shall tlak about it again right now.

I've always known that I would graduate high school, but I didn't think it'd be this hard to say goodbye. It didn't really hit me that I would never see 99% of them until I was on my way home after returning my graduation gown. I still have these day dreams of 'oh maybe this will happen with this person next school year' but no, we won't even be in the same state.

The last four years have been insane. I lost many friends along the way, but gained more. Even the people I am not particularly fond of, I'll probably miss them too. You see, high school is safe. You know who you should hang out with, and who to avoid. You know who to ask for help. You know where to go in the morning to meet them. Everything is just familiar and comfortable, and I guess that's exactly why we had to say goodbye.

I can't wait to see these people again in 10 years or more and see where they end up and if they're happy. I hope they never settle for anything and always chase after what they want. I am excited to hear all the stories they'll be making in these years to come.

As Plankton once said, "see you all in therapy."
