♡ TV Shows I Watched This Summer '14 ♡
6:44 PM
Almost everyone I know did something productive this summer. They went to all these wonderful places and tried new things for the first time. I on the other hand spent my summer inside my room, curled up in my bed, eyes glued on my iPad that's on Netflix. I mean, who needs social life when you can binge watch, right???
I started Hart of Dixie on June 14th. I was hesitant at first because country but then I was like 'what the hell, it's Rachel Bilson so it's probably great' and i was right! I fell in love with the pairing of Zoe Hart and Wade Kinsella. Unfortunately, netflix doesn't have the latest season yet so I watched half of it using another source. I can't wait till Netflix update their shows!!
After finishing Hart of Dixie, I immediately started Nikita which was on the 18th of June. I have always been in love with Shane West and watching him in this show just magnified that a million times more. I am yet to watch the last season which has like 3 or 6 episodes. I guess I don't want it to end so I'm avoiding watching it.
After Nikita I started Supernatural. I've always planned on watching this series but I kept pushing it back so finally on June 24th I finally got to start it. I then remember when I was back in Philippines for my freshman year (or 7th grade here in US whatever) my friend, Regina, showed me a picture with Jensen and Jared on it and she asked who I thought was cuter because she was trying to prove her point to somebody else and I remember saying Jensen. My point is, years has gone by and I still believe Jensen is hotter ahaha. But damn what a crazy life the Winchester brothers live!
For a day I decided to take a little break from Supernatural to keep me excited about it so I decided to check out Doctor Who on the 2nd of July. It's another show I've been wanting to start but kept pushing back. I am actually still in the 3rd episode of the 1st season because I decided to continue Supernatural and when I was done with that I never came back. Oops! But hopefully during the school year or next summer I'd finally get around to watching this series. After all, TV in my room broke so I figure I'd be spending my time this school year on Netflix anyway.
On the 12th of July I started this series and at first it was ridiculously funny because it was ridiculously stupid but then it became totally awesome then back to ridiculously annoying plot. I ended up dropping the show which means I basically just skipped through the whole series except the scenes with Ricky. I admit I hated Ricky in the beginning and was all "Go Ben!" but then Ricky was the only one I believe actually changed and Ben just got super annoying like dude get a grip! Amy on the other hand I never liked to begin with. I can't figure out if it's only because I don't like the character or maybe because I don't like Shailene. I'm going with both.
After dropping TSLOTAT, I decided to start Beauty and the Beast which was on the 13th of July. I remember being pissed at this show because it got renewed and The Tomorrow People didn't, but I am now glad that this show is getting another season because it's actually awesome. It's also funny how the title is the same as my favorite Disney princess movie ahah.
After spending a day off Netflix I decided to start White Collar. It was during dinner on the 17th of July that I started it and I also got my mom into it. When I got to the episode with Liz Gillies on it I realized that I have seen that episode years ago when it aired on TV just because she was on it. When Hilary Burton came to the show I couldn't help but refer to her as Peyton instead of Sara which is her name in this series. And yes, I ship Sara and Neal. I am still mad about the proposal but I know they're definitely end game because if not, somebody's going to get hurt! which is basically me and my feelings.
I decided to go and rewatch one of my favorite Korean Dramas ever, Boys Over Flowers, on July 23rd. If you're familiar with Hanayori Dango I strongly suggest this one and Meteor Garden which is Taiwanese. Rewatching this show made me miss Philippines so bad. It brought me back to sixth grade. All the feeling I felt when I first watch it then came rushing back.
On the July 30th I decided to watch Prison Break. I've been having a problem finding a show to watch in Netflix since Baby Daddy and I found this one finally. Do you know how in love I am with 'Michael' for not only being hot but for being so smart like hot damn. I heard he's going to be in the upcoming Flash series in CW and I am so excited. Unfortunately, I put this show on hiatus after the fifth episode because of Sherlock Holmes.
My friend, Kayden, has been telling me to watch this show throughout last school year but I wouldn't listen. It wasn't until the 31st of July, while I was watching Prison Break, that I was inspired to watch it and I am glad I did. I heard the next season won't air until 2016 but I know it'll be worth waiting for.
After watching Sherlock I was planning on going back to Prison Break but I got distracted by House. I guess I won't come back to Prison Break until school starts or something. I started this series on August 4th. Anyway, I am soooo in love with House's sarcasm like he's my role model when it comes to that now. Jennifer Morrison is also in this series which just reminds me of how much I hate Netflix for not having the latest season of Once Upon A Time. By the way, don't be like me and watch House while eating because.. it's just not a good idea especially during some episodes.
I finally found a Filipino Soapopera to watch religiously again! It's the 8th of August today and the last time was Got To Believe. Anyway, I watched the most recent episode with my whole family and I decided that I need to go back and watch it from the start. Thankfully, we have video on demand. And I mean.. Joseph Marco is one of the main casts. You have to google him, you just have to. Anyway, according to the internet this show is based on a Korean Drama called "49 Days". Guess what Korean Drama I'll be binge watching ASAP!!!?? Ahaha
I said I'd watched 49 Days right after I catch up to Pure Love but at 6 AM this morning of August 9th I had second thoughts. I'm really enjoying Pure Love and I don't want to ruin it by watching 49 Days. I'd probably change my mom about this one again but anyway, I started Love Myself Or You which is Taiwanese. God I wish I can fluently speak and understand Korean, Japanese, and Taiwanese.
I'm all caught up with Love Myself or You. I didn't even know it's still an ongoing series. Due to my idiotic choices I was unable to wake up and go to church today. Today, on the 10th of August, I started another Korean drama, Marriage, Not Dating.
August 12, 2014: I started watching the Korean version of Hana Kimi, To the Beautiful You. It's been years but I still love the story. The main guy looks like JM De Guzman. It took me a while to put my fingers on it. I miss Wu Chun though.
It's the night of August 14th and I should be studying for my permit test tomorrow but no! Instead I decided to start Princess Hours. When it aired in Philippines everybody liked it but I didn't really stick to it so I'm checking it out again.
The night of August 21st I decided to check out Playful Kiss or It Started With A Kiss as it was known when the Tagalog dubbed version aired in Philippines years ago. I didn't watch it then for some reason. Watching this show it makes me realize how the main girl and I are alike. I keep yelling at her for liking someone for more or less 4 years and for giving meaning to every little shit he does when I realize I am her. I have liked the same guy for (it's gonna start of the..) three years. Imma babble here for awhile about my 142 (my code for my babe aha). Last registration we opened the door at the same time and he didn't let go or leave until I am safely inside. Like OMG it means nothing to him but it means everything to me.
